Q. Do I have to pay to receive support from Family Child C.A.R.E. NYC?

Answer: No, all of the business assistance and support we provide is free for family child care providers located in New York City only.

Answer: Services are available now. You can complete your service request form online on the website (fccarenyc.org) or via phone by texting or calling (332) 230-2757.

Answer: Please allow 2-5 business days to receive an initial response from our Family Child C.A.R.E. NYC collaborative.

Answer: Yes, some partners of Family Child C.A.R.E NYC support individuals who want to join the sector and support with obtaining a license. If you need licensing support and opening a Family Child Care or Group Family Child Care program, please select ‘Designing, Maintaining & Funding the Early Learning Environment’ on the form.  Click here to start the form.

Answer: Yes, we have tools and resources to support you with designing and planning for an expansion.

Answer: There is no sign-up required for Family Child C.A.R.E. NYC.  Whether you already receive support from a partner organization or not, you are welcome to submit a request through our intake process.
Answer: Since each provider and intake form is unique, the time it takes to complete services will vary based on what supports are identified through the intake process. The partners of Family Child C.A.R.E. NYC will work with you to create an individualized service plan based on a timeline that suits your needs. For example, if your service plan includes a business series cohort, it may take a few months to complete your services. If you receive one-on-one coaching, that might conclude in a few weeks. If you need an already existing resource, that could possibly take a few days.

interested in providing extended hour care.

Answer: Yes, we have a partner through Family Child C.A.R.E NYC who can support providers think about what behaviors they are observing, support children with disabilities or if a provider suspects a child in their program has a disability. 

Submit a request by completing the online form, calling (332) 230-2757, or emailing [email protected]. The completed form will allow providers to categorize and describe their needs to identify areas of support to strengthen their child care businesses. 

The Family Child C.A.R.E. NYC collaborative will review the submitted request and match the provider with the partner organization(s) that will provide technical assistance support. 

Service Plan will be created between the provider and the designated organization who will respond in a few business days. 

Feedback will be welcomed once service is complete. Each family child care provider will receive a feedback survey to rate their experience.
